Now, let's dive right into this episode on the blog!
If you were to ask me what I struggle most with in life, it's trusting in God's timing.
Not being able to see at all where the road I am currently on will lead to. When this happens I try my hardest to rest assure in the simple fact that God has every aspect of my life planned out and I need not worry.
But as humans, we can get so impatient to the point where we mess everything up! Don't do that!
My question to you,
Can you think of a time in your life when you acted impulsively and came to regret it? Maybe you did something on impulse and felt sorry afterwards.
Maybe it was entering into that relationship you should have taken more time to consider.
Maybe it was running ahead of yourself in an opportunity that was not for you.
Whatever the decision may have been, you regretted it later.
So, what is God’s timing?
The first thing we need to understand about God’s timing is that it is perfect, just as all of God’s ways are perfect (Psalm 18:30)
God’s timing is never early, and it’s never been late. Sometimes the journey to get to the “yes” is longer than you would like, but remember it’s “God’s timing, not mine.”
I have discovered that God's timing is just as important as God's will. In fact, the Bible talks a lot about timing. (Ecclesiastes 3:1) says, "To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven" (NKJV).
Trusting God's timing requires patience and a willingness to wait for His plans to come to fruition. It means understanding that things may not happen immediately or on our preferred timeline, but God's timing is always right.
Trusting God completely in this season starts with your heart. You have to decide to set your heart on God and trust him, even if his timing doesn’t make sense to you.
In my previous post, I talked about how I went to university to get my degree. It took me 7 years. In that time, I had to learn how to trust God's timing. If I had forfeited that journey, I would maybe have missed out on some spectacular blessings that flowed my way.
I want you to remember that God hasn’t left you—He has a good plan for you. God is working on your behalf:
•moving things into place
•bringing the right people into your life •preparing you
• setting things up in order to make the big thing you are waiting on Him for to happen.
You may not understand today or even tomorrow, but eventually God will reveal to you why you went through everything you did.
God prepares His future for you in a slow-cooker, not in a mircowave! Remember that!
His plan for you is unique and beautiful and therefore, must not be rushed!
The most important lesson i've learned is how much God transforms you in your time of waiting for His plan. Waiting deepens and matures us, levels our perspective, and broadens our understanding.
Whether God grants you with a much desired "yes", a merciful "no", or faith-building "not yet", remember that when you don't hear an answer, God is simply telling you "trust me".
Please don't force yourself and get in trouble! Just easy, trust God, pray and thank Him for all He has done. He will reward you for your patience in due time!
So be encouraged in your waiting season. Don't be quick to run the race and finish, take your time and bask in what God has to teach you in His timing.
Do you have the patience in waiting on God’s timing??
Keep safe until next time ✌️
On point Sistrin! God's timing come with a grave that cause you flow seamlessly even in the face of challenges. Blessings on you for this post!
This... sigh 😭... I needed this reminder. Thank you. Well said. I pray the Lord will continue to work through you has you do His will. God bless you. 😊
