Yes indeed.
Hi there! Welcome to my first official post.
There is a lot to say, but let's take it one step at a time...
I sat down and thought, what should I say in my first post... Honestly, so many things came to mind. I thought it over and came to the conclusion that I cannot begin anything without letting you know who I am.
Yes, that's right. Sit back and relax while I tell you a bit more about myself.
This isn't meant to be an epistle.
P.S. Due to security reasons, I won't share demographic details with you. Thank you for understanding.
So, who is Nicole aka She Writes?
In few words...
I am a Christian woman who is the wife of very handsome gentleman. I am a generous individual who loves to try new things. I also learn quickly when it comes to using my hands. I have a very soft heart; Jamaican people would say I eat too much breadfruit... (This is the point where you 'laugh out loud')
I love children and I have a soft spot for elderly people.
I love animals, I love to explore nature, I really enjoy watching sunsets and going to the beach.
I also love creative arts. I discovered this about myself when I was attending university where I studied Social Work. It's amazing to know what being in a different environment does for someone. I wish I knew how beneficial it would be if I had just grasped at my skills earlier. (Better late than never)
I recently started a business where I do graphic designs. I don't know everything about it but I am willing to learn as I go along.
I have a lot of things that I am going to embark on, I just love testing myself and my capabilities.
You may be wondering, why did I start this blog..
Firstly, It all started a few weeks ago when I attended a conference, and I was listening to authors give their experiences and advice. I had interest in writing so I began to ask questions. I spoke to one author in particular and I got very good feedback from her. (In later posts I will share her name and her book.) I then decided that this was what I needed to hear, with a few deliberations, I started this blog. Seeing where it will take me is what I am looking forward to.
Secondly, you may be reading this blog now and there are things you would love to give a shot at. Whether it be photography, music, being in an extracurricular activity at school. It doesn't have to be as big as starting a blog either, it can simply be starting a journal, or even a a study group, whatsoever it may be!
The chance is always there so I believe at working towards something until it becomes SOMETHING!
It may or may not work out but I believe that is what makes a journey worth taking.
So, my encouragement to you is: Go ahead and foster your passion, put it to God and watch it all work out for the best.
There are quite a few things that will be shared in future posts, which is why I won't include them here. But in a small note, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Stay Tuned for more :)
Should I publish a story time next?
Yes
No
Proud and looking forward to your post
I love the freedom depicted in your voice; it's good for us the readers.
